1st - 3rd June 2002 - Clanfield visit Val d’Oison
20 members travelled by coach via Dover this weekend, only to be thwarted by delays on the road to Dover, and although booked on the 1000 hours ferry, we were not able to cross the Channel until 1330 hours. Nonetheless, we arrived in Val d’Oison in good spirits and met up with other members who had travelled independently by car and ferry from Portsmouth. There was time to refresh before the evening’s dinner and dance. The next day was the highlight of the weekend - a visit to Monet’s house and garden at Giverny, which was a real treat and we were blessed with lovely hot, sunny weather.
