It was the 15th anniversary of the signing of the charter this year and how nice it is to see that both associations are flourishing. About 40 members from Clanfield travelled to Normandy in May and were entertained by our friends from Val d’Oison. The hospitality was of the usual high standard and we enjoyed an excellent meal on the Saturday evening in the new Salle de Fêtes at Fouqueville. The weather could have been better but it did not spoil the cruise on the river Seine the following day. This year 16 of us travelled in a minibus, which worked out well, particularly for the new members. The rest of us travelled on our chosen ferry crossings via Caen, Le Havre, Dieppe and Calais.
